Unpopular opinion: I did not enjoy The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo

I know this book is beloved by many, but I found the multiple marriage plot device repetitive.

My issues with the book: - The reveal felt predictable - Some husbands blurred together - The framing device felt unnecessary - Pacing issues in the middle sections

What I did appreciate: - The LGBTQ+ representation - Hollywood golden age setting - Evelyn as a complex character

I am curious if anyone else felt the same way or can help me see what I might have missed. I genuinely want to understand why this book resonates so strongly with readers.
